Once governments, their welfare systems, their social programs, and the dollar collapses, people will inevitably look back to these people as the standard-bearers of liberty and freedom.
The internet represents an important component of this too, as a place for knowledge, free speech, and commerce (Cryptocurrencies) mostly outside of the reach of government.

The old Ron Paul memes finally came true.

Philosophical discourse has gone downhill so quickly over time. It seems we are so short of actual intellectuals that people resort to cardboard cut outs of actual philosophers just to make themselves feel superior. We are in a "dark age" of actual intellectualism. Instead of becoming inspired by the philosophers of old, it seems that we are more content on just riding on the coattails of their said "philosophy". Instead of using their ideas as more of a springboard for our own views and ideas on life, death, and stuff of that nature; We just accept their view as best fitting and conform to the way they viewed things. And it looks like this level of discourse will stay like this for a while
