>What is good? — All that heightens the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself in man.
>What is bad? — All that proceeds from weakness.
>What is happiness? — The feeling that power increases — that a resistance is overcome.
>— Nietzsche, The Anti-Christ

Why isn’t this definition more common? The average person says No to the pleasure cube even though it perfectly simulates real life and real happiness, and they don’t know how to explain why they would reject it. But the real reason is because their power is only simulated, it is not real. A hostile alien species could destroy the earth long before the sun burned out, so even if you weren’t conscious of this threat from within the pleasure cube, you are hesitant to join it because you know you will only become weaker, dependent on something else for happiness.

Chasing “happiness” in the common sense of the term leads to confusion and unnatural lifestyle. But by seeking power we not only make ourselves happier, but we increase our chances of being able to attain whatever we desire in the future. Even if one day I completely changed my goal and decided to reject (material) power and become a monk, if I had acquired enough power then I should have no problems worrying about my livelihood should I ever stop trying to become a monk. So I would not hesitate to do what I wanted. Also, seeking certain types of happiness, like pleasure, leads to the opposite of what you wanted, whereas you can never be too powerful. Our real goal should be to powerful enough to conquer the entire universe. And at that point we will not have the need to simulate power, but resistance.

Because leftist then just as they are now are obsessed with creating a land of gumdrop trees and lemonade rivers and making progress at any cost even if it means total destruction of the planet and becoming a parasitic appendage to a mass of machinery
