lmao muh reason... reason can neither be affirmed nor denied by itself without being circular. When will objectivists realize that their beliefs (like literally every other belief) hinge on faith?

>Existence exists
>Consciousness perceives existence
>An existent is itself

I only agree with the second axiom. The other two are dogmatic; if you arbitrarily consider them to be true, you have faith in objective reality that consciousness interacts with and perceives. If you arbitrarily consider them to be false, you are not convinced that an objective reality is accessible to you; you simply perceive existence, you do not know it. You either have faith in said objective reality or you don't. How can the leap from subjective perception to objective reality be made without faith?

The third axiom or Law of Identity is arbitrary as well; categorization and language are not objective. We operate using subjective systems of visual/aural symbols that allow us to make sense of what we perceive which is subjective and highly related to our size compared to other things we interact with. For example, why would we differentiate a rock from an apple? Because our sense perception leads us to perceive them as having separate properties, but what if we were much smaller and saw them as collections of atoms? We would not be able to differentiate between them, but maybe we would instead define different atoms based on their properties and their usefulness to us. Ultimately, categorizing existents is inherently subjective. There are no separate existents; there is only Everything.
