Four years ago on this day, /lit/ published and printed its first book. Today, almost 400 copies have been printed. It is perhaps the first book of its kind, the first completely anonymous collaborative book created and published online. The publishing of this book could be said to be the most significant day in history of the board.

This book is the result of a collaboration on a Google Docs document used by an unknown number of people. Perhaps as many as a hundred or more. /lit/ somehow managed to produce a funny, unique book that also provides a snapshot of the board culture of the time. Sequels (Tundra 2&3) and imitators (Hypersphere, etc.) have followed, but none retained the lure of the original.
