In fact, I'd argue that in many regions private industrial interests are eroding traditional governing apparatuses. Until their emerges a modern form of governance which views the private sector as the "fourth branch" that needs to be kept in check, this trend will continue.

Trump isn't stupid. He just has an utter disregard for consistency and ethics. To regard him as stupid is to underestimate him. It is the worst thing the left can do, and the left does it consistently. This is because the left cares more about ethics and consistency than strategy.
