Art should be didactic again. Not only that function though, but it would be welcome.
People look for guidance and I don't find it that much in a self-referential piece or some grad student's attempt at asking the same "lol what is art tho?" question.
I guess everyone's inner eagle will scream "Goebbels!" at the thought.

But what the hell.. I'm sure I'm talking to a professional class of art connoisseurs who whip their saggy titted hooked nose gf's while quoting Lautréamont.

Is anyone else intimidated by philosophy? Recently started getting into it (Plato) and it's very fun/invigorating, but I'm starting to feel the intimidation set in. I guess the mountain of philosophical work part of it.

I know /lit/ loves to defend modern art because obviously realism is total pleb tier nowadays.
But the folks visiting the galleries have no fucking clue what all this conceptual bullshit is supposed to mean, yet try to pretend they do.
That's why people hate modern art, instead of a fucking urinal being on display.
