oh fuck, i needed this thread.
i've been trying to find a poem off and on for a long while, it carried this theme of an old man with a singing bird caged inside his heart which he drowned with smoke and whiskey.
but at nights he brings it out to hear its voice and weeps.
i think there was a documentary on the writer...anyone know it?
how retarded am i?
