People with no morals often considered themselves more free, but mostly they lacked the ability to feel hate or love.

Depends. As far as the novels go, I recommend reading them either in the order they were published or in the order in which they chronologically represent his life. The latter is more enjoyable, I think.

In order of publication:

Post Office (1971)
Factotum (1975)
Women (1978),
Ham on Rye (1982)
Hollywood (1989)

Chronological autobiographical order:

Ham on Rye
Factotum
Post Office
Women
Hollywood

Ham on Rye and Post Office are both good places to start. Enjoy, if Bukowski is your type of guy then you're up for a lot of feels and a lot of laughter.

I'm 25 and I went straight to computer at four years old. Guess you have precisely the age to just witness the end of an era.
