Why are modern plays so cringe? And I'm not just being a boomer, there are plenty of modern novels that I enjoy, but modern theater all just feels like the same inauthentic cutesy bullshit to me.

I read for 3.5 hours today and don't feel like reading more

am I a piece of shit for not being able to read for hours on end? I don't get people who can read books all day, at a certain point usually about 2 hours in (no matter how good the book) I begin to start reading slower and taking more 5 minute breaks
