Always found it weird how people drool at the "Fantasy" concept of being melted down into essence to join an infinite, metaphorical pool of boundless consciousness, to be one with the Godhead and so on and so forth, and yet when presented with Christian ideas of Theosis they either can't believe it or just wave it away and divert course to looking into other religions for the same ideas, only needlessly buried in pretentious esotericism and narcissistic ideas of being able to achieve a union with the divine through their own efforts, convincing themselves that they can raise themselves up to face God eye to eye, rather than simply extending an arm to him and accepting his grace to pull them out of sin.
