You have to be pretty materialist to think being poor is a problem.
When you're poor you can still read books... So all is fine.

There is no need for money.

I think long-lasting is more important.
Because obviously the family structure, love and feelings are just there for humanity's survival, a tool for social cohesion, so it's not really fundamental; they are worth nothing in themselves beside the pleasure we get from them. And pleasure is not worth much, there are plenty of animals experiencing it already. As humans, the most intelligent species around here, it's logical that we ought to fight for something higher than mere pleasure; like art and science. Discovering, understanding, enhancing the universe. It's our task and responsibility.

I only watched a few TV episodes but, as much as I like the British culture, Sherlock Holmes always seemed to me as a pseudo-intellectual wankfest. Well, maybe I'll give it a try some day.

The only people who don't like ITAOTS are those who listen to metal, because they lack a heart to appreciate it, and think quality is measured by the number of notes per second.
