The answer is very simple. Humans evolved over hundreds of thousands of years for a very primitive environment. In a relatively short amount of time, we have completely changed our environment through technology. Your rational mind is telling you that if you want to compete and be better than other males, you should use everything at your disposal to increase your wealth, status, etc. But your primitive instincts are telling you that your belly is full, that you are safe from predators, that you have nothing to do. To bother with doing anything would not only waste energy, it would communicate to others that you live in constant fear of not having enough, a sign of low fitness.

>metaphysics
Things exist because they can. Logic and causality are emergent, not fundamental. Like organisms, universes evolve out of randomness.
>epistemology
Truth is that which we label beliefs that are considered beneficial (for our survival). Truth is will to power.
>ethics
Open individualist utilitarianism. We are all the same consciousness, so we should try to treat others as literally ourselves. Unfortunately this doesn’t exactly make things clear. Inflicting suffering can be justified if you believe the consequences will be better. But at the very least, it prevents unnecessary cruelty.

It’s not “might is right” but rather “whatever survives is right.” We simply predict that might will survive. Morality is an evolved survival strategy, after all.

Life is an experiment. You see what works and you pass it on to your offspring. That’s how evolution works. Study science sometime.

Darwin once said that peacocks drove him mad, because he didn’t understand how their feathers gave an advantage. This book explains why they evolved, along with many other counter-intuitive traits in humans and animals.

And I’m telling you that the will to power is meaningless as a philosophy. It doesn’t say anything. The theory of evolution is much more useful and explanatory. “Discharging your strength” is just status-signaling. Read pic related for a whole book it

Evolution doesn’t produce perfect organisms. It merely says that organisms that exist today exist because their ancestors had certain traits that allowed them to survive and reproduce. You don’t have to be perfectly intelligent to reproduce and survive, so it’s possible for a human to die from stupidity. But that is a rare exception so there’s not enough selection pressure to remove stupidity entirely from the gene pool. You have no idea how evolution works. Read a book.

Giving itself is just a flaunting of status and/or strengthening of a mutually beneficial relationship. Plenty of social species have their own moral codes involving their own types of “selflessness” that is obviously an advantage for survival and reproduction. The fact that all of this needs to be yelled from the rooftops in 2023 is embarrassing. Let’s go in to discuss more important things..

All discussions of morality should include evolution. There was a thread on here about where atheist morals come from, and surprisingly I only saw one comment mentioning evolution. If you’re going to be an atheist, then you should fully embrace that evolution is at the heart of all of our behavior. You can begin by reading pic related for deeper insight into how social species evolve moral codes. For example, there is a bird species in which it is common for the alpha male to give food to the other birds, or to refrain from eating while he is the lookout, but if a secondary male tries to do these same things to the alpha, the alpha will attack the beta for trying to gain too much status through his selflessness. Because giving is just another way to demonstrate status, your fitness, your willingness to maintain relationships, etc. Once you begin to study humans as animals, all of this becomes painfully obvious. There is no thing as a purely selfless action, it is all just desires that evolved because they were useful for survival and reproduction.
