i had a /lit/ related nightmare last night. i dreamt that i was alone in someone elses house and that i had decided to read a short story that was rumoured to be cursed and lethal for the reader because something about it hacked your brain and created a loop that you couldnt escape from. it wasnt a horror story but a kind of plotless and simple cowboy story that felt like it was leading up to a punchline. i remember feeling really tense about the cowboy story because it was too simple and nothing happened, so i was expecting something big once i got to the end. like i was a sleeper agent and the whole story was my activation code, and once i was activated i would cease to be conscious. and when i got to the last paragraph, exactly that happened. something in my brain bugged out in a flash and i felt like a CMD file in an infinite loop. there was a second long feeling of knowing that you had already died but also an oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck that kept repeating forever.

when i woke up i was thrilled because i almost never get spooked outside of nightmares and i like the feeling. but then i went back to sleep again and had a series of other dreams that were more apocalyptic where i kept seeing comets in the sky and there was a long earthquake while i was in the subway. in the dream i was convinced it was aliens although i never saw them. anyways sorry for making you listen to my dream. is this a sign that i should read the king in yellow or blood meridian?

maybe they were as vivid as they were because i meditated before sleep and youre not supposed to do that. and i havent coomed in a while which also gives you immersive dreams
