They don't have SAT in my country and I didn't want to to go America for school so I didn't take it. We had something sort of similar called Provincial Exams that were supposed to be standard and were what the universities looked at. There was one of these exams for each major course eg English, French, Math, Physics, History, etc. etc. I remember them being a bit harder than the average high school exam because the curriculum never exactly matched my school curriculum, and if we're being honest, I'm not that smart. Now I'm reading that they're not even required anymore except for English.

I'm from Canada. I was going to say we have had a fairly placid recent history but then I though about the riots in Montreal, the FLQ, and the OKA crisis. Still though I was reading about the Years of Lead in Italy on wikipedia and we have had nothing compared to that, and that was in a "First World Country"

I'm already jaded as fuck about marriage, and reading this board has just been making it worse.

What do you think would have to happen for a successful marriage? From my understanding, only if

-Both parties have an open mind and are receptive to communication
-Enough time is spent together, without the jeopardization of anyone's career
-Both parties can spend time on their solo activities(and they have solo activities)
-The desire for sex with outside parties isn't overwhelming
-There is a large foundation of trust
-and finally, that you have enough synergy in personality to begin with

Will you have a successful marriage.

I feel without even one of these crucial points(and i'm sure i'm missing a point or two), a marriage will eventually collapse and that it's just a matter of when. Am I wrong to think this? Is there hope if I work very hard?

The indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast lived in hunter-gatherer societies that had hereditary aristocratic privileges and slavery (slaves mainly being prisoners of war). More interestingly, who actually claims that hunter-gatherers don't have exploitation etc.?
