honestly anon you only forgot one thing
>-- Rupi Kaur
altho this is all strangely reminscent
of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

having said that
if you would be so kind
write more poetry about me
i want to hear more about my new mandarin badge
which is entirely hollow
like the empty casing of my heart
please call it
Big Profundities
you know i like those
it's only a truism
and i know that the only real truisms
are the friends we along the way

>tl;dr Please recommend me material for baby's first poem: poems to read, and how to make my own poems

What happened to poems? I feel they used to be such a treasured, universal form of art that was prized, but although modern people have re-adopted so many art forms, new and old, why hasn't poetry experienced a renaissance? Right now, all we have is the national embarrassment that is Rupi Kaur, whose only appeal is to the narcissism of the modern woman. Who wants to be seen as deep and insightful, enough though she has accomplished nothing, endured no hardship, and has zero empathy for anyone other than herself. Would dehumanize and kill her own child if it was convenient for her.

Anyway, communications is now more important than ever thanks to the internet. Most avenues boil down to three formats: videos, text, and images. However the principle format, is that of the meme.

Leftists can't meme because they confuse messages with memes. Memes are a format, meaning they can be co-opted by anyone, a meme whose meaning can't be mutated for a different purpose or situation isn't a meme.

Memes are the optimized form of imaged based communication. It allows for nuance, and interpretation. The optimized video format contains an e-Celeb, whose interactive online presence allows him to elevate his opinions above the average person.

You could say that "tweets" are the optimized form of text communication, but I feel there are still improvements that can be done. Ways to package the message to make it more viral. Could this allow an opportunity for poetry? I feel poetry is the skill of the future. Similar to a meme, but more serious. Combine it with an online reputation, and it could surpass other formats. The QAnon phenomenon is an example of this. Although his messages aren't poetic, they vague enough for interpreting your own message, mimicking the elements of a meme. In short - I think it's important to learn how to read poems, and how to write your own.

What are some good poems to read and how do I start writing my own? Please don't recommend Robert Frost, he is lame and Obama tier. I enjoyed reading Luis Camoes Lusiads, didn't fully get through it.
