Most of it is in Islamic texts and African and Hebrew picturesques. The translation of Aristotle and Plato by Arabic scholars brought with that knowledge an understanding of mathmatics that has had no revival in modern history except maybe in reference to Georg Cantor. I hate name dropping, but I've been thinking about him and his diary lately. How would I feel if I were to read that diary and be this distance from that life.
