Has there ever been a systematic attempt at subsuming the ethical under the beautiful? I am not sure if it is a particular and unique pathology of mine, but even after reading Kant, Aristotle, Mill, Kierkegaard and many others, I still cannot help but experience striving for beauty as the primary normative source in my life. I want to finally understand why.
