Anyone a Barth fan? pic related is my favorite, his short story collection Lost in the Funhouse also has some gems, and you get 500 internets if you've actually read Giles Goat Boy.

I just read this book at /lit/'s behest and thought it was one of the funniest most charming stories I've read in a while.

Times /lit/ got it right.

How alike are Thomas Pynchon's "Mason & Dixon" and John Barth's "The Sot-Weed Factor"? Their synopses sound quite similar.

Is Barth worth reading? I have Sot-Weed, and I'm enjoying it so far, but what about his other stuff? Is it worth half a rat's ass?

I usually dislike comedies by my father just gifted this to me as an early christmas present knowing that I'd need something cheery and silly to read over the break and, while I've only read though the first ten pages, am readily enjoying its jovial but accessible prose.

I'd highly suggest you take a look into it if you haven't already.
