pic related for the Ender's Series, instead of carrying on with HUMANITY FUCK YEAH, Card makes Ender a depressed character constantly trying to atone for his awesome childhood - and he fails miserably.

Armor is an awesome book and supposedly there's a sequel in the works. the Orphan series is similar, Starship Troopers without the politics.

If you think you might like space opera then give Hyperion a read and continue with more Simmons and some Peter F. Hamilton
