Have you ever given thought how weird you must sound to natives as a non-native, how your particular wiring in terms of native language and language acquisition experience may alter the way you personally use and perceive the foreign language in question? I express myself significantly easier in English, because it feels so weightless, presumably because I have no emotional reflexes associated with English words.

This is not an exception. The passage you are pointing to is meant to show that games are not fully bounded by rules. Rules can come and go and we can make them on the fly.

We currently dont have rules for, is a chair still a chair if it frequently comes in and out of existence, just like we dont have a rule for, is it still a legal move in tennis to throw a ball up 5 miles high for a serve? There are still based on use and rules. Meaning is still derived from use, so it is not an exception

The exception we are looking for, and the answer to OP, it literally the next line in the book, which is the end of s.43

"For a large class of cases - though not for all - in which we employ the word 'meaning' it can be defined thus: the meaning of a word is its use in the language.
And the meaning of a name is sometimes explained by pointing to its bearer."

EVA is /lit/ are also both obsessed with conspicuous, yet ultimately superficial, allusions to myth and religion, particularly Judaism/ Christianity and Greek Myth. Still, Eva is probably my favorite anime other than Gurren Lagan just like /lit/ is one of my favorite boards, if not my favorite.

Ill just list some good TV series

The Tatami Galaxy
Ping Pong the animation
Mononoke
Nichijou
Serial Experiments Lane
Kaiba
Mushishi
Welcome to the NHK
Neon Genesis Evangelion (+ End of Evangelion)

People shit on Eva but they dont know what theyre talking about. The directing in that series is absolutely God like, so many great opportunities alone for harsh cuts are made but then not taken, and then are taken soon after when not expected joined with some disturbing image or sound, which cuts to extended silence.

Also it has probably some of the best made characters in the medium. The plot is whatever but who cares, the development of Asuka climaxing in End of Eva is just too good.

What's a good book to read about the chemistry/pharmacology of recreational drugs? I don't even really do drugs, but anytime I go to bluelight or read certain threads I always enjoy when somebody explains the chemistry of what's going on in the body.

Any good sources for this kind of thing?

Hello /lit/,

I come from faraway boards requesting your help.
Does anybody know where I can download Smith Cordwainer's Instrumentality of Mankind Compilation?

Thanks in advance, gentlemen.
