A Clinical introduction to Lacanian psychoanalysis by Bruce Fink. Surprisingly smooth read if you are familiar with psychoanalytic jargong.

It is true to its name though, it's very clinical and doesn't dig too deep into theory. But i think it's a nice start to see lacanian concepts "in action".

There is no ontological answer to that question, as the premises requires a subject (that experiences meaning) to experience life.

Life can be life-affirming, or life-negating. Meaning, in this case, can be capsuled within both.
Life-negating living are actions that push you further from living. It is the subjects way to distance oneself from life. Life-affirming living supersede meaning, as to the question is not even asked in any broad capacity. The "meaning" is meaningless; live because you want, not because you need - you don't need anyones permission to live.
