Yes, there is inherent conflict in crossing the raging river on the bridge. Will it hold? What does it mean to the character? He's clearly crossing the river for some reason, that holds conflict. Maybe he doesn't cross the bridge? That would be a twist. I mean, there's just endless conflict in that scene, most laying dormant admittedly, but it's there alright. Maybe it's thematic, man on the sturdy wooden bridge above the terrible chaos of the monstrous river that threatens to engulf him. Man versus nature, now that's a struggle. Even the act of lady Fortuna smiling upon the wanderer and providing him with the means to get to the other side is significant and meaningful, there was a brief time he thought he wouldn't be able to get over it but then there it was. Does this change the character, impact him? You could write an entire novel about this one scenario.
