For the first time ever, I seriously felt something while praying. I've been praying on and off for a few weeks now, usually before I go to sleep; I'm not really religious and am not convinced there is definitely a God (though I do find it more likely than the alternative), but I just felt like trying it out anyway. Two nights ago I felt a little warmth in my heart a bit after I finished my prayer, but I didn't think much of it. Tonight, however, around 30 seconds into my prayer I felt the same warmth but much stronger, my eyes started watering, and I felt an almost overwhelming sense of happiness.
I'm not thinking or saying this is proof of anything--it could certainly just be placebo--but I'm so happy right now I just had to share. I am going to start taking my prayers more seriously and see where it leads me. I hope you can all experience this one day if you have not already. God bless you all.
