Me , it´s the book , i feel no matter how the movie is funny or how legendary the acting of Bale, i feel it´s just did not get the essence of the book . What do you think?

See, that's the thing. American Psycho is obviously in part gay allegory, but there's much more to it than that. It's just that audiences and critics are agonizingly reductive. So you can't talk about gay allegory unless it's ALL you're going to ever talk about. Which is bullshit.
