>“Writing long books is a laborious and impoverishing act of foolishness: expanding in five hundred pages an idea that could be perfectly explained in a few minutes. A better procedure is to pretend that those books already exist and to offer a summary, a commentary.” - Borges

>tfw you agree with this but you've been writing novels
A part of me wants to move to shorter, perhaps more experimental forms, but I guess I fear losing the effect I would have of delivering the story in full detail.

where do people share their short stories / novels / whatever online ?
I checked some websites out like booksie and wattpad but it seems like they're just filled with shitty poems and fanfictions.

Hello /lit/,

Tell me something, what is your reading "strategy/route", do you plan the order that you are going to read books/learn new subjects?

Mine follows this Scheme:

1. My country literature canon.
2. Literature of countries that influenced mine ( Mainly Russian and French). + Philosophy
3. American Literature + My country history.
4. International literature in general ( Mexico, Spain, etc) + Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology.
5. Ancient Greek + Catholic Lit.
6. Modern humanes

I'm currently on step 1 going to step 2. Do you guys do something similar?
