People with the time to make comments like that aren't usually the people making waves in industry. I would assume it's the people who've had there first psychology course or in medical/law school and haven't failed out yet. People that are actually too busy making said moves to think about dumb people unless they're dumb people that work for them or under them in their company/industry. I would understand if it was /biz/ where you'd assume everyone is just about money and any way you could make it which is more about timing and charisma then intelligence but not /sci/. I will never understand why people tear each other down to feel special for a second when in reality someone is always richer, smarter, or more attractive.
