Moreover, one can even say that in a certain fashion ar-Ruh is identified with the ‘Throne’ itself, for by surrounding and enveloping all worlds (from which the epithet al-Muhit is given it), it coincides with the ‘first circumference’ mentioned earlier. This again recalls the two faces of barzakh: on the side of al-Haqq, it is ar-Rahman [the Infinitely Good] who sits on the Throne; but on the side of al-Khalq [creation], it appears in a way rather as a refraction of ar-Ruh, which is in direct agreement with the meaning of the hadith, ‘He who sees me sees the Truth’ (man raani faqad raani al-Haqq). There, in fact, lies the mystery of ‘prophetic’ manifestation, and it is known that according to Hebrew tradition, also, Metatron is both the agent of ‘theophanies’ and the very principle of prophecy, which, expressed in Islamic language, amounts to saying that he is none other than ar-Ruh almuhammadiyyah [the spirit of Muhammad], within which all the prophets and divine messengers are one, and which, in the ‘lower world,’ finds its ultimate expression in him who is their ‘seal’ (Khatim al-anbiaï wa’l-mursalin), that is, the one who reunites them into one final synthesis that is the reflection of their principial unity in the ‘higher world’ (where it is awwal Khalqi’ Llah, the last in the manifested order by being analogically the first in the principial order), and who is thus the ‘lord of the first and the last’ (seyyid alawwalin wa’l-akhirin). It is thus and only thus that all the names and titles of the Prophet can be understood in their profundity, which names, in fact, are those of ‘Universal Man’ (al-Insan alKamil), ultimately totalizing in him all the degrees of Existence as they have all been contained in him since the beginning: alayhi salatu Rabbil-Arshi dawman, ‘May the prayer of the Lord of the Throne be upon him forever!’

Your concern should be about what's true, not about what your ancestors followed, nor of what you desire. There is no room for I or Us in religion, only Him, and monotheism is the nature of the soul. And Allah guides His servants back to their nature.

You don't know what you're talking about. Islamic theology is built around a corpus of hundreds of medieval treatises which aim to interpret and comprehend the Qur'an. Do Christians today still read any medieval author other than Aquinas? Muslims today read the works of thousands of scholars from the time of the prophet to the current age. Does any other religion compare to the sheer volume of living discussion and chains of theology and rite in Islam?

I remember that a few days ago there was a thread about the Sophia Perennis (the current english publisher of Guenon's books) publishing house and how they unjustifiably (from a traditionalist perspective) denounce the right-wing ideas of Evola and other authors. Is easy to notice that such reservations were totally justified, if you bother to read the traditionalists themselves but of course that for the 4chan audience, is hard to think betond the cringe/based, left/right-wing dichotomies. Here you have an extract from Schuon's letters which proves my point:

“I have just received the list of your publications and I note that for the most part they are racist, fascist, and nazi in spirit and thus in no sense traditionalist in the proper and authentic sense of this word. I do not wish to appear in such a context, and I cannot give my consent to the publication of one of my books under your imprint. The public would place me in a modern political category, whereas I am engaged in nothing of the kind, being a true traditionalist, and thus identified with a scale of values that escapes modernists, even those of the right.”

How do you worship Guenon(pbuh)?

How do you pray to him?

How did it change your meditation routine?

I just started reading the beginning portions of The Introduction of Hindu Doctrines and i’m so happy with the result thus far. Guénon is unbelievable methodical with his presentation of information and his words are extremely accessible. I was worried he’d be super convoluted or have a pretentious “Oxford Academic “ tone but it’s completely the opposite. Does it only get better from here?

Some questions about Islam/Sufism/Guénon. I have contemplated conversion, but there are some doctrinal misunderstandings I still have and even the local imams have not given me satisfactory answers

Let us assume an example: man follows a halal diet as described, but his wife is a dishonest woman. So let us assume that even the eggs are fried secretly in pork fat, but the wife tells that it is halal. This goes on for decaded, the man consuming massive amounts of pig fat. Still living otherwise pious life: he is not granted a place in Paradise because of all the unclean food he has consumed during his life and he is not much better than the unbelievers or kuffars in general

Generally, Confucianism is the exoteric aspect of Chinese tradition and largely concerns itself with the social order while Daoism is the esoteric aspect.

Nevertheless, there are many passages from the Analects that are highly metaphysical if you are already keyed into that kind of understanding, e.g. 'hear the way in the morning, die content at night'
