What book utilizes anthropomorphic animal character settings the best? I feel like Animal Farm does the best at using symbolism and animalistic traits to illustrate problems with communist societies, but I'm interested to see what other novels do more than just use animals quickly add variety to the cast of characters.

Pic related albeit very pulpy.
