Pic related is the Platonic reading list the neoplatonists used. It's as good as any. You should also read Aristotle's Ethics. And the Apology plus Clouds. And some tragedy together with Frogs. Sorry to be giving you too many suggestions.

What translations are best? In general in prefer Straussian ones, like Bloom for the Republic.

Are the twelve dialogues posited by Iamblichus to inhabit the central ideas of Platonic thinking really the cornerstone of Plato? Are these twelve really the essentials for Plato?
