do submissions directed originally to the slosh pit need to be resubmitted in a more formal way for consideration in the print magazine? If so, I formally submit the work of the above gentleman cardinal for said consideration.

back around to me. you are certainly not going to believe it, yadda yadda, doesn't really matter to me, just want to answer your question honestly: i am among the wealthiest individuals on the planet, and am among the few that is truly committed to implementing a philosophical program in the modern age. my campaign has been so far successful--it has been slow and subtle, but, as Guicciardini observed, all great politics is always slower than one anticipate. i am making progress, and am young, so i have time.

in short: philosophy is heading toward the endgames of de Jouvenel or Hoffer--that is, philosophy is beccoming ACTION. or, almost to complete a platonic-marxist program, the concentration of philosophy and wealth in late-stage capitalism enables a truly visionary program of re-imagined sovereignty on a global level.

you may think i am crazy, and i will admit it is the full ownership of this ideal--a type of unironic plunging into the heart of the matter, so to speak, a type of embrace of platitude that few others can handle--that is the source of my charisma. you will never know my name, but you are already witnessing some of the seeds i have planted. i'll tell you right now: it all comes from a socratic desire, a lack, a true love--i love this world more than you can imagine, and it is through and by philosophy that a new political order--one reflective of this compassion--will slowly come about, ideally in the aesthetic vein of kant and schiller, a type of global, permanent, immanent beyreuth actually done well.

jesus christ man do you know how dialogue works? can you even answer a simple question? how are you extrapolating that i am pegging you politically?

you can call me angry all you want, because it's true: your stupidity is so great, so entrenched, that it angers me, even over the internet, that someone like you exists at all angers me, because you get in the way of people like me and offer nothing in return.

fuck you are so fucking stupid, all you can do is retreat again and again into this millennial bullshit rhetoric: "i dont care, i dont care, i dont care." yeah man, you care; you're just not smart enough to care properly, or interesting enough to even address me viz. the rational argument i've asked for several times. you're a fucking exhausting waste of a human.

short: just write poetry and keep writing poetry and your brain will eventually start doing things it didn't do before and you will start doing things you didn't do before

long: find some poets you like and read them until you have a decent sense of what's going on with them. and then realize that you also have the sense to create a sense.

this takes time and lots and lots of practice and writing. constant experimentation. and a near constant state of emotional vulnerability. I don't mean a weak emotional state. but not hiding what you feel from yourself. the more you do this the more complex the emotions and experiences get until you think you're going crazy. then you do a little bit. then you come back to yourself and your writing now has something to it. because you have something to it. this was my process anyways.

kind of a nothing is off limits way of doing things.

try writing poems about pieces of art you find. things around the room. states of mind. etc etc. your mind is an acrobat, its up to you to find out how it can bend.

A man stood at the top of a building
looking into a window on another structure across.
a young woman stood naked
drying her wet hair
warm air from bottom to top
top to bottom.
the man took a breath and jumped
never caught

'The time has come,' the walrus said, 'to talk of many things: of shoes and ships - and sealing wax - of cabbages and kings.'

Any takers? to take my hand and I take theirs. to look around with blinks and stares. and find that we are lost. completely chalked with words not ours. a passenger, in another's car.

your ressentiment is crazy apparent

i went to an ivy league, taught at an ivy league during graduate school, and know many, many people from ivy leagues. sure, there are some idiots, legacies, valedictorians who can only regurgitate simple facts--but these are just extremely competent bean counters, and are recognized as such even within the schools themselves

i'm guessing you did not attend a very selective school, and were most likely rejected by your top choice and are convinced that was some infernal cosmic mistake--or you would probably know some pretty remarkable people, pursuing some pretty remarkable ends, that would discount a lot of what you wrote

is "Mythology of the Secret Societies" any good? is it academic/historical/sociological--or is it more barnes and level noble, new-agey stuff?

also, pretty nice collection--what do you study? italian-related things?
