How the fuck do I enjoy reading? I have a shitty attention span, especially when it comes to stuff as unstimulating as reading. I enjoy music a billion times more. Probably undiagnosed ADD or something. And don't say "just start reading and it'll get easier", I forced myself to read two >300 page books for school this year and it took IMMENSE amounts of focus and was very unenjoyable. Please help, I want to read.

Srsly tho. I got up to... shit, whatever the episode right before Circe and just put Ulysses on indefinite pause. I used the New Bloomsday Book, Annotations to Ulysses, fuck, even wiki summaries, and I felt like such a fuckin brainlet. It just wasn't fun to have to figure out the goddamn plot for every page.

If you've finished Ulysses: is the first time through just suffering and figuring out the basic plot, or am I just that much of a brainlet
