Someone needs to come out with a physical copy of his book. I’m fine with ebooks for shorter stuff but a long and dense work is not fun to read on the phone or ereader. Some upstart aspiring publisher here needs to get on this.

You guys memed me, I thought this guy was going to finally destroy me and make me end it, but it turned out he was just a self-indulgent retard. He sounds like a new atheist at points quoting The God Delusion unironically.

What do you think of Mitchell Heisman?

He committed suicide aged 24 as an "experiment in Nihlism"

He coined the term "viviocentrism", which basically refers to the implicit bias we have to favor life over death. He claims this bias is a form of prejudice against death, and that his own suicide was an "extension and continuation of the Western project of eliminating bias, especially biologically based biases (i.e. race or sex based biases)".

It's really interesting stuff in my opinion.

Anyone here either read his work or interested in his ideas?

Has anybody here read Mitchell Heisman's "Suicide Note"?

I dismissed it for a long time but the first 30 pages I've read are very interesting and well-expressed.

Example:

>"Overcoming the prejudice against death, then, is only an extension and continuation of the Western project of eliminating bias, especially biologically based biases (i.e. race or sex based biases). The liberation of death is only the next step in the political logic that has hitherto sought to overcome prejudices based on old assumptions of a fixed biological human nature. Its opposite is an Aristotelian, teleological conception of nature; a nature of natural slaves, natural aristocracy, natural patriarchy, natural inferiority of women, natural racial kinds, natural heterosexuality and, finally, natural self-preservation. This older, teleological view suggests that individual self-preservation is an expression of a fixed biologically based nature that culture and/or reason is incapable of changing, altering, or overcoming."

What are some good books that became widely read or acknowledged due to the circumstances surrounding the author, including his death?

Ones I can think of:

Elliot Rodger: My Twister World
Mitchell Heisman: Suicide Note
Theodore Kaczynski: Industrial Society and its Future

Certain books occupy a grey area here, including Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf. The reason being that it was only because of something he had done that his book became famous, though the book in this case was written after the act.
