The world was young, the mountains green,
No stain yet on the Moon was seen,
No words were laid on stream or stone,
When Durin woke and walked alone.
He named the nameless hills and dells;
He drank from yet untasted wells;
He stooped and looked in Mirrormere,
And saw a crown of stars appear,
As gems upon a silver thread,
Above the shadow of his head.

The world was fair, the mountains tall,
In Elder Days before the fall
Of mighty kings in Nargothrond
And Gondolin, who now beyond
The Western Seas have passed away:
The world was fair in Durin's Day.

A king he was on carven throne
In many-pillared halls of stone
With golden roof and silver floor,
And runes of power upon the door.
The light of sun and star and moon
In shining lamps of crystal hewn
Undimmed by cloud or shade of night
There shone for ever fair and bright.

There hammer on the anvil smote,
There chisel clove, and graver wrote;
There forged was blade, and bound was hilt;
The delver mined, the mason built.
There beryl, pearl, and opal pale,
And metal wrought like fishes' mail,
Buckler and corslet, axe and sword,
And shining spears were laid in hoard.

Unwearied then were Durin's folk;
Beneath the mountains music woke:
The harpers harped, the minstrels sang,
And at the gates the trumpets rang.

The world is grey, the mountains old,
The forge's fire is ashen-cold;
No harp is wrung, no hammer falls:
The darkness dwells in Durin's halls;
The shadow lies upon his tomb
In Moria, in Khazad-dum.
But still the sunken stars appear
In dark and windless Mirrormere;
There lies his crown in water deep,
Till Durin wakes again from sleep.

Guts' journey follows Robert A Johnson's Transformation: Understanding The Three Levels of Masculine Conciousness.

The book itself is a Jungian analysis of Don Quixote, Hamlet, and Faust.

Guts' starts off simpler, driven by emotion. With the eclipse, he faces a numinous experience. He rage after, a rage against supernatural beings, is a reflection of the struggle inside him. He risks falling to nihilism and rage. Finally, he reaches out to each other and begins a magical transformation that will resolve his issues. This is the Faust phase, Jungian individuation.

This isn’t very good but I hurt someone and cut off all contact with people I care about and now I’m upset and I wrote this and fuck

My love started as a small flame that warmed my cheeks and tickled me, and over the course of the weeks we spent together it started to grow and I’d start burning at the thought of my next “I love you”. You were so complicated, you had your own rules and intelligence, like complex clockwork to my simple flame. The burning was intense and I’d thought my feeling reciprocated in an I love you I heard while you were sleeping, but it was just a dream. Ever since I’ve just been blazing inside at the thought of your voice, your smile. And then I going out your heart belonged to others and I tried to put a lid on myself, but the heat seeped through and cooked me inside. I’m sorry my love, I truly am, for being yet another fool who trips and fumbles over you. I am not a Saint, I am a mere pretender who will never burn you again.
I’m fucking crying bros fuck

But it is. We are the monsters, and the heroes.

Aren't you turned on by sexy teen high schoolers? Age of consent being in the 14-16 age range is fairly common in Europe, and the mean age for losing virginity in nordic countries was around 16~.

>tfw you will never experience clumsy teen sex during hormonal peaks

Is homestuck, or any other webcomic for that matter, worth reading? I've never read one because I feel like every single second spent reading a webcomic is a second that could have been spent on reading an actual book. I simply see them as YA lit with pictures, which just makes them worse than YA lit.
Having that said I really enjoyed some comics, for example Watchman, and some manga too (Berserk is a masterpiece imo).
Am i wrong?
