I want to talk about the ending to Use Of Weapons. What does /lit/ think about it. Is the twist brilliant or just a cheap gutpunch.

Reading it a second time I actualy feel kind of dumb for not realizing what was going on earlier. When Zakalwe is about to get his head chopped off he remembers his name began with an E rather than a C, and when he was with Shass he also dreamed about "the real Zakalwe" coming to get revenge. Are there any others I missed?

Also is it bad that I think the cross eyed girl is more Moe than any anime waifu ever.
