I'm kind of glad that TERFs aren't as prevalent in the US. They seem very toxic and resentful. Transbians, at least the ones I've met aren't that bad. There is definitely a vocal minority that gives the movement a bad name and they do ought to be shunned, but they are small peanuts compared to other social problems. I think the emphasis the modern American left places on identity politics is just a safe sublimation of energy after the 1960s class and race based movements were destroyed by the establishment. It is pretty ridiculous that you can be chased out of a socialist party for being too concerned with class politics. I would bet that a non significant portion of idpol is just COINTELPRO propaganda.
