Why was Nietzsche apolitical?

I feel reading PoMo novels is unfulfilling and have gone back to studying Ethics particularly secondary literature pertaining to Friedrich Nietzsche. That being said if I wrote a novel it woukd probably be the most PoMo thing out there.
