Why don't comedians write novels more often? Anyone who gets a book deal probably has an unproduced screenplay under their belt and the comic novel form gives the writer way more creative freedom than even a tiny indie movie ever could. Admittedly not all famous people have any real knack for prose but that doesn't stop them from putting out cash-in collections of essays.

I'm looking for something "light" to read after "Gulag archipelago".
Can you people give me your opinions on Gun seller ? Is it worth my money ? Also reccomend me books that will cheer me up and make me laugh. The funnier the better.

i just ordered this, has anybody read it? i've been told its really good, and not just because it's written by hugh laurie.

Want to read so bad, afraid to buy it and read it in Hugh Lorie's American accent in my head :x I started to read the E-book but I read it like he would pronounce everything from House. Can I get past this?
