Reading fiction is unironically for retards in the modern day. If you like to enjoy some nice escapism, then fine. But most fiction readers these days feel the urge to over “analyze” the simplest of children’s books and then compare them to modern and complex political climates for no apparent reason other than to not look retarded for going tens of thousands of dollars into debt for a degree that “shows” you can teach other kids to read and is good nothing else but a cumrag if you don’t want to become a teacher.

Books where one of the characters is a coward, but in the end he does something heroic before dying?
