We don't know this will be the case anymore. We have technology at our fingertips that we didn't have before. We can travel across the world in a few days now, we can seek employment across the world, access any information instantly and from wherever, etc. Science fiction writers have been exploring the notion of a future world where there are no longer nations but ideological factions and this is more or less what is happening, slowly, because of technological changes in the world, which is what has lead to globalism (not your Joos argument), and these writers have known this for decades, because they were often involved in the direct development of cutting edge trends.
