Don't worry about it anon, the chart's layout is just oddly proposed and there's not much jerking off of prominent French or German philosophers in it for some people's liking
Sometimes the case may be that you please none of the people some of the time
Anyway here's an old chart I've had for a while, bit redundant with the other trivium post but I think overlap/deviating lines of thought is fine

For homeschooling parents in this thread, I recommend, "The Well-Trained Mind: A Guide to Classical Education at Home" by Susan Wise Bauer.

For homeschooling yourself I recommend "The teenage liberation handbook" and getting off 4chan.

How accurate is this chart?

Are there any more /lit/ charts for self improvement or similar topics? Or we can just make this a /lit/ chart general

What do you enjoy reading then, anon? I suggest Mortimer Adler's How To Read A Book to improve your reading skills.

Read read and read
I don't know, just take books you have at home and read them. Then read the classics of literature. I'm attaching some charts, I'm thinking you want to become an autodidact.
I'd start with the Bible, the Greeks and your national canon. Then you'll know what to do.

If you read "How To Read A Book" by Adler and take its advice you will be better off than 90% of /lit/ posters, including some of them who have spent years reading.

Assuming you are American, you should be able to find a lot of groups and resources near you, or even work with the district for classes you can't do at home. We're doing ceramics with the district since my house doesn't have a kiln.

I also like that pic because I was already planning we'd read everything but Faerie Queen and Dianetics. So I guess I should add the former.

You'd want to reserve the full treatment for works that deserve it. If you're ever tackling a big or complex work, or a historically significant work, or a textbook of some sort, or just a really, very, good book, you'd wanna give it the full entrenchment into it.

It's just in my experience. Even the classics have bad sections, their own flaws. I wouldn't know every book ever written, but through experience with literature and other art forms, most art pieces are not worth more then a quick glance over. Maybe I'm wrong.

One. Word. At. A. Time.
But seriously? Just start writing a short story. Beginning. Middle. End. Who's the character? How does he change? What does he do?

Some books about plotting and developing stories.
>save the cat
>aristotle's poetics
>Romancing the Beat
>hero with a thousand faces
>the weekend novelist

If you read some of those books, think about stories you like. What makes them good? What are they doing right or wrong? Internalize it. You already have internalized a lot just by reading things, but now bring it to the forefront.

Again, just write something. Put words on paper. Have an arbitrary goal. Write a 3000 word story. Then 5000. Then 10000 etc.

Go to the library, get out a variety of random major philosophers, like seven, including Plato and Aristotle. Take them back home and read them, skipping introductory and just going for main text. Take notes and intently try to understand as best you can.

I'm low iq too, but I have a plan for smartness. Basically, what I've done is grab the essential studying tips from the book A Mind For Numbers and written the reading guide from How To Read A Book. Use these to study in free time. To chose books, I recommend the /sci/ wiki and the /lit/ wiki. If you like art, look up /ic/ wiki and try to find "big sticky". Anyways, pic related is the study tips. Here's the rules for reading from How To Read A Book;
>Write book list relevant to subject of study.
>Do this to all the books in the list; Try to write down any words you don't know.
>Read all material outside of main text. Preface, forward, index, table of contents, appendix, dustjactet, ect.
>Skim all the books. Check random paragraphs and sentences. Check underlinings, highlights, italics, bold text, ect.
>At this point determine if books are still relevant to study. Remove unrelated books.
>Read which chapters seem most important, in general to the book and especially those relevant to the subject
>Search up any words you don't know at this point
>Speed read material, possibly on time limit.
>Read books as normal while taking notes.
>While reading, try writing what it's about as a whole. List it's major parts in order and relation. Define what questions the author is asking. Write down sentences and paragraphs relevant to this stuff.
>Finish the book while asking above questions, writing stuff down along the way
>Figure out and write the key words, key sentences and key paragraphs from each major section.
>Figure out what is being proposed, answered, questioned, stated in each sentence
>Rewrite the paragraphs in your own words.
>Determine what has been asked, answered and unanswered. A philosophical work asks questions like "How limited are we by are perception?" A math book asks "How can we effectively solve division problems?" Even fiction books often ask questions with it's implied meaning.
>Establish the list of questions the authors ask, the list of arguments from the important text, and find how the authors answered the questions they themselves ask, if they did
>Try to find how authors answer the questions of other authors
>Examine disagreements between authors.
>Review material created in process.
Granted, don't do this to every book. Only the best ones.
