The sounds, sights, feel, the weather, the smells, etc. I want to be totally transported

Do you keep a list of all the books you've read?

I imagine many of you have a goodreads account, but I don't want that. Too public and I don't particularly like the website.

Do you use some kind of cataloging system that is more advanced than a spreadsheet? I'd love to hear about them.
