Dead men walking was probably the best Warhammer novel I've read. It's bleak but not in an edgy way.
By the end the two opposing forces become seemingly more and more similar to each other and the title could describe both.
Usually those kind of cheeky developments and meaning are just simply not there in the other 40k novels so it's quite refreshing.
