It's a scifi novel by Reynolds.

I haven't read it but I've read enough books by him, that it means that it has a 99% chance of being a super hard scifi novel featuring lots of largely emotionless characters who are varying shades of sociopathic (even the females), whilst some wonderfully creepy eldritch horror is lurking around in the background. At some point in the novel, a main character will probably torture someone in the worst way possible or condone it and think nothing further of it.

He hasn't let me down yet.
