Don't listen to that.

Don't listen to that either.

It's shit, and I stopped reading midway, but keep working on it. Weigh every word carefully, and consider the tone and how it will be perceived.

>Degrees acquired in Denmark tend to have lesser academic value than in countries where you actually pay for tuition

Not sure if trolling..you know it's paid for right
Just through taxes?

Its a good deal in that it's a sure way for the state to increase revenue because people who have a better education generally earn more. And it's great for the students because they get their shit paid for, which means they can work less and study more (great academically) and also because you can't ever buy your way into a university. You only get accepted through grading, meaning the most academically deserving get the available spots. My parents are both immigrants, without this system I would probably just be working somewhere being comfortably middle-class or working-class. But I'm studying law instead and you can bet your ass I'm staying in this neat little country. Good deal for the state, good deal for me.

Some harvard philosophy teacher once said that the book of Job is the most well written piece of existential literature in existence.

pirating books means you can read the book at your leisure, without having return dates or late fees, and also not having to travel to your library, have the hassle of ordering books in, missing out on books that other people have taken out etc.

they offer many advantages, they give you books on the go (great for dedicated readers who travel, either for holiday reading or a daily commute. They weigh less than a normal book and are a very similar size, meaning they are not a burden in your bag like many books would be (especially good for students who have to carry a main text, critical reading and other books on top of this with them most days of the week)

the e-books actually are pretty much permanent, normal books corrode, pages rip, spines break etc, but an actual e-copy of a book will never deteriorate to a point where it's unreadable or a hassle to read, and it is also immediately and freely re-downloadable.

reading a book instead of a scroll or hearing it from word of mouth is the equivalent of playing guitar hero instead of learning the guitar.

e-books are just the next stage in the evolution of books

situation
