Hey /lit/, I'm learning German and I'm looking for some books that are both easy and interesting to read. Something like the Dino Lernt Deutsch series of books. I had a blast reading through them because they were both funny and written using simple sentences. The same author has another Intermediate/Advanced series of detective books, but I think they're still a little bit too challenging for my level.

I'm still a beginner and my current Anki word count is ~1200. I've been using a frequency dictionary to learn new words every day, but learning words in isolation like this is not helping me become fluent. Obviously, I should be reading and listening to real sentences, but finding material for my particular level has been difficult.
