I'm not interested in a weberian class as super-structural practice, I'm interested in the microscopy of class in the production process. The real subsumption of value being transformed into the formal subsumption of value by me being motivated to produce and stop talking to the 80 year old [her ethnicity would identify me] woman who broke her body for a company in the 1960s which left her chemically damaged for life, who then became a medium rigid truck driver. Her daughters one lives next door, the other moved away. They live on a chemically polluted swamp next to a freeway and their house was meant to be an off-ramp. I felt real fear as seconds became mintues became 10 minutes because I was not producing, and this delightful elderly woman trying to flirt with me as her slightly older husband ambled back to the house, was trying every trick in her English second language book to keep me listening to her riveting story of industrial injury and triumph as a mother.

But my non-present employer was inside my head, and she seemed like she would cry as I said I had to keep producing, but I would love to listen to her next time.

That's the microscopy of class I'm interested in.

I'm not saying your interest is invalid, non-scholarly, or unnecessary, but you can see how our interests are incompatible at a research level.
