No-reader here.

Just finished this one today and I think I just had an epiphany on what good literature really is.
The last paragraphs were hauntingly beautiful and it was actually the first time I ever been made teary-eyed by literature, except maybe the bible.

It was absolutely worth the hype, incredibly beautiful prose.

I'm going to read more books.

I'm certain I have a better book for this question, but the only thing I can think of is The Great Gatsby. I finished it in one sitting pretty much. My eyes burned; my bladder strained, but I kept on reading. I quite possibly could have pissed myself, but I could not put down that masterpiece.

That night was homecoming. I never went to a school dance. I was too much of an autist at that time, not even having any interest in going, but I was aware enough to know that it was a social / developmental milestone I should have gone to. But while those kids were partying and getting laid, I, someone who is not the best reader, finished a book without interruption for the first and only time in my life.

So the book was released in 1925 but it makes reference to 'the holocaust being complete' after Wilson murders Gatsby and then kills himself . Also Meyer Wolfsheim works for a company called "Swastika" something or other (can't remember the exact name). What gives? What's the significance of all this? Was the term "Holocaust" used differently at the time or? Don't make me ask /pol/, please.

Are you excited that in only a couple of days The Great Gatsby will be entering the public domain?
