Are there any multi-volume book series that I can read on European History? Something that records all of European history, or at least the history of Western Civilisation.
Something like pic related but for general history.

i want to get a good overall grasp on philosophy but cant study and dont particularly want to read individual philosophers too much to save time

is copplestons history of philosophy series the best one to read? or can anyone recommend something better

Also, why are there no good copies of it online? The PDFs are okay but impossible to convert to an e-reader friendly format. Does anyone know where I can get ePub/mobi versions?

With all things the mantra is to start with the Greeks. If you're looking for philosophy you could start with the presocratics but I don't see any problem with starting with Plato. Read The Republic, the 5 dialogues, et cetera, and then move on to Aristotle. Begin with Nicomachean Ethics, Politics, Physics, Metaphysics, et cetera. Simply work your way up following the arc of history. Good luck anon, you'll be a much different man each year if you are consistent in your studies.

Where can I get the pdf(s) of the 2003 11-volume version of the History of Philosophy by Coplestone? I've looked online but most of them are from the 1990s version.

How good is Copleston's series on the history of philosophy? And why do almost all printings of this series use absolutely garish covers?
