Y: The Last Man has to be one of the shittest stories I've ever read. I know I shouldn't have expected much from a graphic novel, but godamn...

Why? It had such great potential but it wasted it all. It seemed like ever character had an IQ of 90, and all the little subplots were so fucking inane.

Oh look, the last man of earth, now the planet's most valuable resource. Guess we'll just send him on a cross-country hike with one body guard because who cares about either selfish or selfless reasons? This dude seeing his Australian girlfriend is what's important.

Oh look, we have some ultra-feminist amazons trying to kill the last man, too bad they're all dumb as fuck and incredibly disorganized. Lel, in an interesting tw1st of fait we've like, had his sister be ultra f3min1st and want 2 kill him, lol.

Oh look, one Israeli woman who seems to be the only smart character in the story... Nope! She turns out to be just as retarded as the rest.

I could go on about all the other shit, but I won't. Instead of being actually good, it just turned out to be some poorly written vaguely misogynistic fantasy... like most comic books I guess.

Rant fucking over.

Fuck.

I read this as on a scale of 1 to 10, how insignificant do you think you are? And my answer was going to be 0.01 x 10^-1395

But since it's intelligence, then I'm an 8/10, if we're going by standard deviations from the mean. The mean being 5.

Rest of lit: 4 to 9, but mainly 6-8.

I wanna start reading Nietzsche. Which book would be a good start - The Dawn, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The Birth of Tragedy, Twilight of the Idols, The Antichrist, Ecce Homo?

If Nietzsche were alive today what would he think of modern atheists like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris?

I think he'd categorize them as secular christians who live in the shadow of a dead god.
