Horror Thread

Horror in my opinion is one of the most underappreciated genres on the planet. When one who isn't very well acquainted with the genre thinks "horror" they think Stephen King dime novels and the money sponge abortions that hollywood pumps out every week. Personally I think the concept of fear and the unknown are incredibly interesting subjects to read about.
Lets have a thread dedicated to horror as a genre and the geniuses who influenced it. (Lovecraft, Poe, Blackwood, Stoker, Shelly, ect)
